How cool that in a world of endless information and distractions we connected over our mutual love of all things that empower women in their daily victories and challenges.
I’m a Mum to a gorgeous, exuberant 3 year old daughter and beautiful baby boy. 13 years ago while on a working holiday to the UK I was fated to meet my Brazilian husband at a dance festival, he charmed me with his Jagger-like dance moves and adventurous spirit.
I’ve been writing my whole life, even though I have a journalism degree I worked in advertising in print media for 10 years prior to having my kids. This satisfied my passion for women’s magazines, although I have no illusions now about how women are moulded to fit stereotypes to sell a brand, look or product.
I love language because it is universal. I love words because they have so much power. They can build or destroy self esteem. They can start wars. They can strengthen or dissolve a marriage. They can give hope, heal wounds, educate and communicate.
So please share your stories, so we can learn from each other, so we can build a community of women that recognise we are all trying to do our best, sometimes we succeed, sometimes we feel unworthy, but a little support can make all the difference.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog.
